Custom Crutches Testimonial

rob newman custom crutch userIt’s always a plesure to hear from users of custom crutches. Meet Rob Newman, a recent customer of Disabled Services. I wanted to share his kind words with you:

Dear Steve,

I have been using your custom Superlite low-bend forearm crutches, with performance gel grips and tornado tips for about one month now. They are possibly the best investment that I have ever made. When I used my old adjustable forearm crutches, my shoulders hurt, my hands and wrists ached just with a simple walk to the end of the block. Within three days of using your crutches my shoulders stopped hurting completely. Within a week, my wrists and hands stopped aching and I am now able to do twice as much exercise as I could only a month ago with my old crutches. I would recommend your crutches to anyone with the need for forearm crutches. They have both expanded my small world here and most importantly, they have gotten rid of the pain. You are awesome!

Regards, Robert C Newman

Thanks Rob – What a great spirit. All the best to you. Steve

Hey there…I love the idea that your blog i here to help people on crutches! Sounds like most of you guys are on forearm crutches, but I’m on some old school adjustable crutches. I just wanted to say, there was another site I was on a while back that had a great feature and I thought I’d carry it over here in the hopes it would help at least one person.

I was on crutches a long time and the product I absolutely couldn’t live without was called the Crutch Bag (www.TheCrutchBag.com) I don’t know who it was, but some saint mentioned it on another site I feel compelled to thank them/return the favor.

They carry almost anything, firmly, snugly, and in the center of gravity of the crutch. Pretty ingenious and pretty cool looking. I recommend the twin pack…I used both all the time. I’m too stubborn to ask for help and this really helped me. Just wanted to let you guys know!

Thanks again and I hope this “pays it forward.”

    Again, it’s: http://www.TheCrutchBag.com

    Thanks! – Sham

    Hi,
From my short experience with crutches, I think it would be great to have a pear of crutches which have changeable cuffs – user could be able to change from fore-arm to under-arm? To be able to rest from one position. Because using one type is tiring enough…
Is it only my experience? What do you think?

    Thanks,
    Gaile

    Hi Gaile,
Thanks for coming by! I like your thoughts. Becasue the forearm and underarm have such different lengths-I’m not sure it would work but being able to swith positions and rest is a great idea. Thanks for your ideas. Steve

    Dear Steve,

Would you ba able to advise if the forearms of the crutch is ‘width’ adjustable as I need to wear a thick overcoat in order to protect myself from the cold.
